Debian Gnome + VNC + Firefox VPS OS template

Posted by admin under Debian VPS, Tutorials, Ubuntu VPS, VNC VPS, VPS

We created a debian 4.0 OS template with gnome, vnc and firefox pre-installed. See how to rebuild your VPS with this OS template

To start VNC login via SSH on your VPS and issue these commands

su gui
vnc4server

Then you may use a VNC client such as real VNC (VNC Free Edition Viewer for Windows)

Run the VNC viewer and enter YOUR_VPS_IP:5901 next to Server: and click OK

The password is change_me

You may change your password by issuing the vnc4passwd command

To stop the VNC server issue this command

vnc4server -kill :1

If you have any issues please contact us.

The above applies for the ubuntu gnome + vnv + firefox OS template as well.
