CentOS is a Linux distribution based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), it stands for Community Enterprise Operating System. It’s a widely accepted operating system in enterprise environments.

Our CentOS OS template comes with yum preinstalled which is a software updating tool. Yum makes installing, updating and resolving dependencies easy.

CentOS being an enterprise operating system makes it secure and stable, which is why it is the most accepted operating system in the web hosting industry. Most hosting panels such as cPanel, DirectAdmin, Lxadmin, Server CP+ among others are supported and preferred to be installed on CentOS. That allows people with little to no experience with linux to setup their hosting environments in manner of minutes. CentOS is a great OS choice in a VPS environment.
